It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow...

Okay, it may be a little while for me since I live in Florida.

Hello all! I had the urge to blog today. I'm not sure this will fit into any particular segment and it won't be a 100 movies post. It's just a post about fall. I'm feel fall-ish today, how about you? I'm not sure if it was because it was actually chilly last night or maybe because I had a day off today but I woke up this morning with the distinct feeling that it's fall. And all of a sudden, I wanted to start drinking Starbuck's Toffee Mocha and wear sweaters and listen to Christmas music. It was slightly disappointing to walk outside to weather in the 90's. Ah well. I still got a Starbuck's Toffee Mocha. But no sweaters and not quite time for Christmas music.

But it doesn't stop me from wanting to pull out the holiday movies and begin dusting them off - just in preparation, of course. And it won't hurt for me to take my winter hats down from the shelves - just so they'll be handy when I need them, you understand. I suppose I tend to lump fall and winter together. When I think of fall, though, I think of October-December. I consider January-March wintertime because that's when it gets really cold over here.

Is anyone else feeling fall-ish right about now?

  1. I'm finding it hard to feel fall-ish when it's still so warm up here in NJ. It's more like spring with all the rain.

  2. Really cold? You have no idea! You want cold - take a road trip up here to Chicago! I wish I had a job where I could spend a few months at my parent's house in Florida...or Disney.

  3. The toffee mocha is so delicious! They will be the death of me. I am also feeling fall, and still have to deal with summer-y temperatures. So I feel you!

  4. Oh, yes! I remember September 1st last year, I was beginning to get the house ready for Halloween. It was also an average high of 78, not 95-100 like it was this September. But there are pumpkins and leaves going red and it is like 78 today, so finally I declare it fall.

  5. I always enjoy & appreciate your posts! And while you mentioned holiday films, I wanted to pass a new film along that I recently discovered that came out last month on DVD for you to check out & perhaps review. Homeless for the Holidays is an amazing film that follows an executive that has lost it all & has to take a job at a burger joint - a situation many of our familes can relate to today. If you are looking for a great film for a family movie night, I encourage you to check out Homeless for the Holidays! I have to say that it's perfect for the WHOLE family, which is hard to find these days.

  6. I am just blogging around this morning and found your blog. I think every blog is so unique and has something different to offer. Fall well it's still warm here in Delaware, well on and off, maybe that's why I am fighting the flu off. I think I am finally on the up swing, I certainly have had enough of it. Thank you for letting me visit. It's been a pleasure.
