So please be sweet, my chickadee

So, I've been ridiculously negligent lately. It's mostly due to a busy schedule and being quite exhausted when I come home from work. I think that it also has to do with the fact that I've been kind of burning myself out a bit with this whole posting every day thing. Hopefully this brief break has gotten me back to normal. We'll see.

I'd like to thank everyone who has entered my giveaway so far. I'm incredibly excited! Don't forget - you can still enter!

Now, continuing on this month's list of dancing couples...

9. Donald O'Connor and Mitzi Gaynor

Favorite dance: "It's Delovely" from Anything Goes

This number is so cute! I do like them as a pair. I think they're adorable together. My favorite part is when they're doing the soft shoe shuffle type bit on top of that platform thing. It's so cute and kind of intimate. I like their relationship. They always seem kind of pal-ish, both in this one where they're a romantic pair and in There's No Business Like Show Business where they're siblings.

I hope this post will put me back into gear. I've kind of missed blogging.
Which brings me to a quick question. I've been thinking about opening up an etsy shop with my photography. I have a lot of photos, some better than others of course. I was thinking of testing some of the photos out on a blog and people could comment on whether or not they like them and then I'd know which ones are marketable. Good idea? What do you think?

  1. One of my favorite female dancers (Mitzi) + one of my fave male dancers (Donald) = great team! Another good choice, Sally! Those two (apart and together) always look like they're having so much fun!

As for the etsy shop and your photography: that sounds interesting. I'd say it's definitely worth a shot. When you post photos, though, you might want to consider putting some sort of stamp over the image or something. Otherwise it would be easy for someone to just take the photo off your blog and have it printed.

  2. Good suggestion! I will definitely work on that! Thank you!

  3. How is it I've never seen this film? I love Donald O'Connor and Mitzi Gaynor, but I never realized they were in films together :) I'll have to add this to my list!

Your etsy shop idea sounds fun! Can't wait to see some of the photos!

  4. Theres No Business Like Show Business - theres a movie I havent seen in a long time. Probably since AMC started showing their version of classic movies - crappy stuff from 1980 to the present. Ugh,

My favorite number from that movie is Lazy. Maybe I'll see if the library has it this weekend!

  5. That is such a cute number! I love her pink dress, and how it moves as she dances. I will have to see this film now! And I think an etsy shop is a fantastic idea. You should go for it.
