Okay, now I have a question to ask. Can someone please explain to me the whole tumblr thing. Is it basically like blogging bits and pieces? You do a post of a photo or a video and that's all? That seems to be the basic idea but I want to be sure before I sign up for an account. Please fill me in!

Oh! Oh! Oh! I almost forgot again to post about the poll results on the major question: Fred or Gene. The vote, in the end, went to Mr. Astaire. He had 26 votes, 61% of the 42 total, while Mr. Kelly got 16 (38%). Thank you to everyone for voting! It was really interesting to see the contest as it developed.
This line sounds really familiar, but I just can't place it right now. Should be interesting to see the results!

ReplyDeleteTumblr is exactly what you just said -- you just post a picture, or a video, or a link, or a quote. You can add captions or, if you want, really long text under the pictures, it's not limited to just a photo.
ReplyDeleteAlso one of the neat things about tumblr that you can't do with a real blog is re-blogging -- if you like somebody else's post (or picture) you just "reblog" it, which gives them credit for posting it, and lets you pass along the post to anyone who follows your blog! It's pretty cool! If you start one, let me know so I can follow :-D
